Are Professional Wedding Photographers Still Relevant Today?
As an established Wedding Photographer Toronto there can be a mixed bag of both emotional and financial aspects to answer this question in regard to the relevancy of this question and I will attempt to answer the same in a three part answer to allow the Reader draw his own conclusions. On my behalf, my answer would most certainly be a resounding ‘yes.’ Professional Wedding Photographers. The Importance Of A Wedding. It’s a Wedding. Need I say more? In the scope of life’s greatest Event’s a Wedding pretty much trumps everything with the exception of the birth of your first Child or second or third Child for that matter. Weddings are perhaps the one earliest variable that young women dream of as long as they have been able to attend a Church Service or sit knee high to the Dining Room table and see Mommy and Daddy walking down that Church Isle dressed in a flowing white Gown and a snazzy black Tuxedo. It’s an important day and most certainly a day that you don’t want to leave it to Uncle Bob with his Bestbuy Camera to photograph your Wedding. Professional Wedding Photographers. A Professional Skill Set!This one goes without saying. You take your car into a Mechanic when it’s acting oddly. You attend a Doctor’s Office when you’re not feeling well. Why would you trust Uncle Bob to photograph perhaps the most important day of your life. Wedding Photographers are considered to be Professionals in their chosen field. Years of dedication, practice and a seemingly ever growing warehouse of high end equipment provides them with a unique ability to get the job done. Not knocking Uncle Bob but he simply does not come with the correct training, mindset or equipment to ensure your Wedding is photographed properly. In short, as the old saying goes, ‘You get what you’re paying for.’ A Professional Work Ethic. There Are No Second Chances At A Wedding.Sadly, I’ve seen this avoidable but unfortunate occurrence happen time and time again. An seemingly amateur Wedding Photographer whom my Son and Daughter In Law had retained at the yearly Toronto Bridal Show had come poorly equipped to handle a 10 hour Wedding. Having found out that I too was a Toronto Wedding Photographer the Gentleman continually approached me in aid of continued assistance. Fresh batteries. Empty SD Cards. By the end of the night I was so ready to let him go that it most certainly put a damper on the day. Needless to say there are no second chances at any Wedding. A Professional Wedding Photographer Toronto comes equipped for almost any foreseeable event during their Client’s Wedding. A Professional Wedding Photographer Brings Professional Experience & Ability. These two points further build on the importance that there are no second chances at a Wedding to get the job done right the first time. Your Professional Wedding Photography will come with years worth of both experience and ability. We’ve worked in the darker Churches. We’ve worked where the man or woman who is performing the Wedding has placed us. We’ve brought the right lenses and additional lighting to ensure we’re able to capture the pivotal images that will remain with you for the rest of your life. In short we come prepared. We’ve come to expect what we’re walking into and we’re ready to work. A Professional Wedding Photographer. Professional High Quality Gear.If Canon, Nikon and Sony don’t love us it’s surely the Banks and the Credit Card Company’s. Professional Toronto Wedding Photographers are constantly on the hunt for the newest and greatest high grade photographic equipment. From Professional camera bodies to fast lenses to photograph in darker conditions we’ve got you covered. Having the right tool at the right time is a must in our chosen Industry. We’ve studied the specs of all our equipment. We know what’s gonna work in any given situation and what is not going to work. In short, our years of study, education and practical real life experience has taught us well. Professional Wedding Photography Is A Career. Not A Side Hustle. Most people who may be considered ‘Creatives’ are drawn to Professional Photography as a ‘Calling.’ An overwhelming desire to create and share their passion with their Customers. We love what we do and as such are driven to deliver on both an outstanding sense of Customer Service but additionally to provide an exceptional end product. Perhaps it is a legacy that Professional Wedding Photographers have been intrinsically tasked with in their day to day operation. It’s all that we want to do and as such the results speak for themselves. Are we Perfectionists? You bet your bottom dollar. If it’s our name on the end product then we best deliver. Underexposed images, blurry images or poor post production is not a label that any Creator wants to be known by. Especially in the competitive Toronto Wedding Industry. The reputation of one poorly finished Wedding is not something that we want following us around for years to come. Professional Photographers. Professionally Finished Albums and Prints.Unlike Walmart or Costco, Professional Toronto Wedding Photographers only deal with Professional Printing Services such as Pikto.ca. Such Professional Printing Services do not deal with the General public. Professional Printers do not have time to color correct, edit or balance out of focus images. As such they expect that a Professional Wedding Photographer is going to bring in poorly exposed images. Or images that fail to meet the minimum standards of what our Wedding Customer’s would come to expect. In short your Professional Wedding Photographer must not only be bringing in quality workmanship but also bring in images that are technically correct at the same time. Thus ensuring that when we are presenting our Customers with their end Deliverables, their Wedding Albums and Prints that we have put our best foot forward. Not only from the time we spent with our Customer’s during their actual Wedding but also the time spent behind the scenes in post production in front of our high end computers and fancy color corrected Monitors. Professional Photographers Know It’s Your Big Day!This is what a Professional Wedding Photographer lives for. This is that magnificent Crescendo at the end of the Opera. We know it’s your Big Day and we’re there ready to work. We are there to bring our years of education and practical experience. We’ve brought our ‘A’ Game. We’ve also brought our expensive cameras and lenses. We respect that it’s gonna be a busy day with varying service demands that almost change on an hourly basis but that’s ok. We’ve got you covered. And if your day changes that’s ok too. We’re ready to pivot and take up your newest demands, be it a quick pic of your aging Grandmother or our Bride who wants a quick pic of her newest Nephew or Niece. In short, we’re prepared, ready and ready to capture your Big Day in a timely and beautiful manner. In summary, to answer my earlier question, are Professional Wedding Photographers still relevant today, again I would answer with a RESOUNDING YES! We’re there for you and only you on your Big Day. And we’re bringing our ‘A’ Game to boot! |
